the world as Will and Representation

Actually would be impossible to find the meaning of this world that lies before us as a representation, or understanding its passage by a simple representation of the knowing subject to something else and more, if the philosopher himself was not much more than a pure knowing subject (a winged angel's head, without body).
But the philosopher has his root in the world, you are as an individual, namely his knowledge, status and focus of the world as representation, is necessarily conditional upon the body, whose affections, as we showed, offer the intellect its point of departure for the 'intuition of the world itself.
